Preview Roundups
December 10, 2018
Pittsburgh at NY Islanders 7:00 PM ET
The New York Islanders recorded a home-and-home sweep of the Pittsburgh Penguins earlier this season as part of a 10-2-0 stretch against Metropolitan Division representatives. The Penguins exacted a bit of revenge with a 6-2 victory last week and look to salvage a split of the regular-season series on Monday, when the division rivals meet at Nassau Coliseum for the first time since Jan. 16, 2015.
Los Angeles at Detroit 7:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Kings reside in the cellar of the NHL standings due in large part to a sputtering offense that has mustered a league-low 66 goals this season. Fresh off a campaign high-tying five goals in their last outing, the Kings hope their new-found offense travels well on Monday when they open a four-game road trip against the Detroit Red Wings.
NY Rangers at Tampa Bay 7:30 PM ET
The NHL-best Tampa Bay Lightning attempt to match one of their most impressive performances of the season and win a seventh straight game when the New York Rangers pay a visit on Monday night. The Lightning scored early and often Saturday before settling for a 7-1 victory over Central Division co-leader Colorado as captain Steven Stamkos recorded two goals to go along with two assists.
New Jersey at San Jose 10:30 PM ET
Setting up goals has not been Joe Pavelski's forte this season, but scoring them has become a regular occurrence of late. The captain attempts to hit the 20-goal plateau for the sixth consecutive season in only his 32nd game when the San Jose Sharks host the New Jersey Devils on Monday.
