Preview Roundups
November 27, 2016
Tampa Bay at Boston 1:00 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Lightning look to rebound from one of their worst efforts of the season when they begin a three-game road trip against the Atlantic Division-rival Boston Bruins on Sunday afternoon. The Lightning had a total of 12 giveaways while allowing goals on the power play, during 4-on-4 action and while short-handed in a 5-3 loss to Columbus on Friday after winning five of their previous six.
Nashville at Winnipeg 1:00 PM ET
The Nashville Predators and the host Winnipeg Jets both have something to prove when the Central Division rivals end their home-and-home set on Sunday afternoon. The Predators' challenge is to carry the attacking style that has led to success at home (8-1-1) onto the road, while the Jets look to forget an awful 0-5-0 road trip during which they were outscored 20-6.
Arizona at Edmonton 3:00 PM ET
The Arizona Coyotes attempt to continue their mastery in the series when they visit the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday afternoon for the finale of a home-and-home series between the Pacific Division rivals. The Coyotes have earned at least one point in 24 consecutive games against Edmonton (20-0-4) after winning 3-2 in a shootout on Friday, last losing to the Oilers in regulation on Jan. 25, 2011.
Florida at Carolina 6:00 PM ET
The Florida Panthers went 3-1-0 on their last road trip and look to continue their success away from home when they begin a season-high six-game trek Sunday against the Carolina Hurricanes. Florida posted victories in Montreal, Ottawa and New York (against the Rangers) during a trip that ended last Sunday after winning just one of its first six road contests this season and begins this excursion on the heels of a 2-1 shootout triumph at home against Columbus on Saturday.
Ottawa at NY Rangers 7:00 PM ET
The New York Rangers hope to put an end to their recent struggles at home on Sunday as they host the streaking Ottawa Senators. After winning six in a row and eight of their first nine at Madison Square Garden, New York has dropped three straight in its own building (0-2-1) - including a 6-1 pasting at the hands of Pittsburgh on Wednesday.
Calgary at Philadelphia 7:30 PM ET
The Calgary Flames look to continue their surprising success on a difficult road trip when they go for a fourth victory in five games Sunday against the struggling Philadelphia Flyers. The Flames lost All-Star forward Johnny Gaudreau (fractured finger) before the six-game trek that ends against the New York Islanders on Monday, but backup goaltender Chad Johnson has carried the team with five wins in his last six starts.
