The New Jersey Devils hope to salvage the finale of their three-game road trip when they visit the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday for the opener of their home-and-home series. New Jersey began its trek Thursday with an overtime loss at Florida and followed with a 4-1 setback in Tampa Bay two days later.

The Chicago Blackhawks have stretched their point streak to seven contests (6-0-1) and the offensively gifted team is doing it with strong work in the defensive end. The Blackhawks have allowed five goals total while winning five games in a row and can increase that to six when they host the Dallas Stars on Sunday night in the second of a back-to-back.

Less than a month into the season, the Winnipeg Jets are missing seven players who were on their Opening Night roster, but they nonetheless enter Sunday’s game against the host New York Rangers with 11 points in their first 11 contests.
