Preview Roundups
November 06, 2016
Colorado at St. Louis 5:00 PM ET
Goals have not come easily of late for the Colorado Avalanche, who hope to break out when they visit the St. Louis Blues on Sunday. Colorado has been limited to fewer than two goals in four of its last five games, including Saturday's 1-0 home triumph over Minnesota, and has netted more than three tallies only three times in its first 10 contests this season.
Edmonton at Detroit 5:00 PM ET
Less than 24 hours after the Edmonton Oilers ended their three-game winless streak, the Detroit Red Wings look to halt their four-game victory drought when they host the Western Conference co-leaders on Sunday. Detroit has gone 0-3-1 over its last four contests, earning its lone point at Philadelphia before surrendering four goals in the third period Friday en route to a 5-3 home setback against Winnipeg.
New Jersey at Carolina 6:00 PM ET
The New Jersey Devils hope to salvage the finale of their three-game road trip when they visit the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday for the opener of their home-and-home series. New Jersey began its trek Thursday with an overtime loss at Florida and followed with a 4-1 setback in Tampa Bay two days later.
Dallas at Chicago 7:00 PM ET
The Chicago Blackhawks have stretched their point streak to seven contests (6-0-1) and the offensively gifted team is doing it with strong work in the defensive end. The Blackhawks have allowed five goals total while winning five games in a row and can increase that to six when they host the Dallas Stars on Sunday night in the second of a back-to-back.
Winnipeg at NY Rangers 7:00 PM ET
Less than a month into the season, the Winnipeg Jets are missing seven players who were on their Opening Night roster, but they nonetheless enter Sunday’s game against the host New York Rangers with 11 points in their first 11 contests. The Jets pulled off yet another surprising comeback Friday at Detroit, getting the first two goals of Brandon Tanev's career in the final eight minutes en route to a 5-3 triumph.
Calgary at Anaheim 9:30 PM ET
Rickard Rakell has shown little rust after returning from a contract holdout while recording three goals and six points in his first three contests of the season. The 23-year-old forward from Sweden looks to continue that kind of production when his Anaheim Ducks go for their eighth straight victory over the visiting Calgary Flames on Sunday night.
