Preview Roundups
February 14, 2017
Florida at Auburn 7:00 PM ET
No. 13 Florida, which is tied atop the SEC with South Carolina and Kentucky, goes after its seventh consecutive victory on Tuesday as it visits Auburn. The Gators are coming off 71-62 triumph over Texas A&M in which they overcame a poor shooting effort, while Bruce Pearl's young Tigers will be looking to bounce back from squandering a 23-point, second-half lead en route to a 90-84 loss to Mississippi.
Tennessee at Kentucky 7:00 PM ET
Kentucky coach John Calipari said in the preseason that this might be his best defensive team yet and while the No. 11 Wildcats showed glimpses of realizing that potential, they are far from backing up their coach's optimism. Kentucky, which is in a three-way tie for the SEC lead with No. 13 Florida and No. 19 South Carolina, continues to work toward that end while trying to exact revenge from Tennessee when they host the Volunteers on Tuesday.
Rutgers at Purdue 7:00 PM ET
Purdue is right on the heels of first-place Wisconsin in the Big Ten and looks to keep pressure on the Badgers when it hosts lowly Rutgers on Tuesday. The No. 16 Boilermakers have won three straight games and eight of their last 10 and are tied for second place in the conference with Maryland -- one game behind Wisconsin.
Notre Dame at Boston College 7:00 PM ET
No. 20 Notre Dame will try to build off a big home win when it begins a favorable stretch of games at Boston College in an ACC tilt Tuesday night. The Fighting Irish struggled to knock off ranked opponents during a recent 1-5 swoon, but they rode another big day from junior Bonzie Colson to a much-needed 84-72 win over then-No. 15 Florida State on Saturday.
Wake Forest at Clemson 7:00 PM ET

Hot streaks are hard to come by in the loaded ACC, but Wake Forest has registered three wins in its last four games and will try to pick up another when it visits Clemson on Tuesday. The Tigers have lost three straight contests and nine of their last 11 but are coming off a near-upset at Duke.

Virginia Tech at Pittsburgh 7:00 PM ET
Virginia Tech coach Buzz Williams told his players he wanted them to change their approach after getting pummeled at Virginia back on Feb. 1. That worked Sunday against the No. 13 Cavaliers, and the Hokies will try to keep the momentum going in a quick turnaround Tuesday at Pittsburgh, which is also coming off a surprising win of its own.
Tulsa at Central Florida 7:00 PM ET
Two teams in dire need of an American Athletic Conference victory to pull out of their downward spiral meet Tuesday night when Tulsa visits Central Florida. The Golden Hurricane have dropped four straight games since a 77-66 home victory over UCF, which is wasting a strong start with six losses in the past seven games after a 66-63 setback against Connecticut on Saturday.
Mississippi St. at Georgia 9:00 PM ET
Georgia hosts Mississippi State on Tuesday looking to win its sixth in a row in the series, and more importantly keep its flickering postseason hopes alive after an encouraging comeback victory Saturday at Tennessee. The Bulldogs rallied from 14 points down in the second half of a 76-75 victory – just Georgia’s second victory in the past seven games – and senior guard J.J. Frazier is getting hot at just the right time.
Louisiana State at Mississippi 9:00 PM ET
Ole Miss might not have the roster to compete in a stacked SEC, but it has plenty of momentum heading into Tuesday night's home encounter with LSU. The Rebels tied a school record by rallying from a 23-point deficit in a victory over Auburn, and can make it six wins in their past nine games while LSU has dropped 11 straight contests - its longest streak of futility in seven seasons.
Texas at Oklahoma 9:00 PM ET
Still in search of its first road win of the season, Texas travels to Oklahoma on Tuesday night in a battle of Big 12 bottom feeders. This figures to be the best chance for the Longhorns, who have just two other road games remaining at No. 12 West Virginia and Texas Tech, to avoid going winless for the season away from Austin.
Penn St. at Nebraska 9:00 PM ET
With the first back-to-back 20-point games of his career, Lamar Stevens has Penn State on the brink of its longest Big Ten win streak of the season heading into Tuesday's game at Nebraska. The Big Ten Freshman of the Week had 46 points and 12 rebounds as the Nittany Lions defeated No. 24 Maryland and Illinois to win two straight league games for only the second time this season.
Ohio St. at Michigan St 9:00 PM ET
A pair of teams needing all the wins they can get before Selection Sunday face off when Ohio State visits Michigan State in a Big Ten Conference clash on Tuesday. The Buckeyes – who won the previous meeting between the schools – are coming off a tough loss at Maryland, while the Spartans will look to make it two straight at home after posting a victory over Iowa on Saturday.
