Preview Roundups
March 30, 2019
Cleveland at L.A. Clippers 3:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Clippers are trying to earn the best possible seed in the Western Conference playoffs and a losing streak of any length could send them back to the No. 8 spot. The Clippers will try to avoid back-to-back losses when they return from a four-game road trip to host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday.
Boston at Brooklyn 6:00 PM ET
While the Boston Celtics are making strides toward clinching homecourt advantage in the Eastern Conference playoffs, the Brooklyn Nets are in danger of falling out of the top eight as the teams prepare to meet for the fourth and final time this season Saturday in New York. The Nets dropped their last two games of a 2-5 road trip and enter a challenging three-game homestand in seventh place in the East, a half-game up on eighth-place Miami and a game ahead of Orlando.
Sacramento at Houston 6:00 PM ET
The Sacramento Kings face elimination from the Western Conference playoff race with their next setback. Making matters worse is that the Kings have lost nine straight games in Houston entering Saturday's matchup with the streaking Rockets.
Portland at Detroit 7:00 PM ET
The Detroit Pistons look to post their 11th consecutive home victory when they host the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday. The stretch of home wins is Detroit's best run since it captured 16 straight during the 2005-06 season.
Orlando at Indiana 7:00 PM ET
The Orlando Magic seek their second win this month at Indiana when they visit the Pacers on Saturday. The Magic won in Indianapolis on March 2 by a 117-112 score, part of a 15-7 surge that has them a half-game out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with six games to play.
Miami at New York 7:30 PM ET
The Miami Heat are going back and forth with Orlando for the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference and are part of a group of five teams angling for three spots. The Heat will try to take advantage of the team with the NBA's worst record when they visit the New York Knicks on Saturday.
Toronto at Chicago 8:00 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors are tuning up for the playoffs by getting their players plenty of rest while picking on teams at the bottom of the standings. The Raptors try to record their third straight win against a team out of playoff contention when they visit the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.
Philadelphia at Minnesota 8:00 PM ET
The Minnesota Timberwolves suffered a severe beating against Philadelphia earlier this season and look to exact revenge when they host the 76ers on Saturday. Philadelphia cruised to a 149-107 victory on Jan. 15, with the 42-point margin being the second-worst in Timberwolves history.
Memphis at Phoenix 10:00 PM ET
Phoenix guard Devin Booker takes a shot at reaching the 50-point mark for the third consecutive game when the Suns host the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. Booker posted efforts of 59 and 50 points in Phoenix's last two games to join Tom Chambers (twice in 1990) as the only Suns to post multiple 50-point performances.
