Coyotes 5, Canucks 0: Martin Hanzal registered a natural hat trick and Devan Dubnyk made 35 saves as visiting Arizona snapped its three-game losing streak.

Defenseman Keith Yandle recorded a goal and two assists while captain Shane Doan also scored for the Coyotes, who netted more than three tallies for the first time in six contests. Sam Gagner and Martin Erat each set up a pair of goals while Dubnyk posted his ninth career shutout as Dave Tippett secured his 200th career coaching victory.

Ryan Miller turned aside 18 shots for the Canucks, who lost for just the third time in 11 games. Vancouver outshot Arizona 35-23 while going 0-for-3 on the power play.

Hanzal gave Dubnyk all the offensive support he needed with 5:04 remaining in the first period, beating Miller from the left faceoff circle after taking a cross-slot pass from Yandle. The veteran tallied twice in a nine-second span late in the middle session to complete his second career hat trick and open a 3-0 lead.

After deflecting Tobias Rieder's shot past Miller with what appeared to be a high stick - the goal was upheld by video review - with 4:35 left in the second, Hanzal beat the netminder to the stick side with a shot from the right circle during a 2-on-1 following the ensuing faceoff. Doan scored from the high slot with three seconds left in the session and Yandle capped the scoring during a power play with 2:23 to play in the third.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Dubnyk improved to 3-0-1 on the season. ... Vancouver Fs Radim Vrbata (leg) and Derek Dorsett (upper body) both returned from two-game absences. ... Yandle increased his team-leading point total to 14.
