Umoja Gibson scored a season-high 30 points to lead Oklahoma to a 70-55 upset of No. 9 Texas Tech on Wednesday night in Norman, Okla.

The win was the first for the Sooners in five tries against Top 10 opponents this season, and snapped a three-game losing streak for Oklahoma (14-10, 4-7 Big 12).

The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Red Raiders (18-6, 7-4).

Gibson, coming off a season-low two points in a loss at Oklahoma State on Saturday, kept the Sooners within striking distance early and then came through during an early second-half flurry that helped Oklahoma take the lead for good.

Gibson hit three 3-pointers during an 11-2 run that helped the Sooners take a seven-point lead, at 44-37, with 13:06 to play. The Sooners stayed in front the rest of the way.

Gibson was 9 of 14 from the floor, tying a career high with eight 3-pointers.

The Sooners were 14 of 20 from the field in the second half and even better behind the arc, hitting 8 of 11 3-pointers after the break.

The Sooners needed plenty of production from Gibson, as their leading scorer for the season, Tanner Groves, scored a season-low two points. Groves played just 12 minutes, also a season low, as he was in foul trouble much of the game.

Elijah Harkless added 13 points while Jordan Goldwire added 10 for the Sooners.

Texas Tech shot a season-worst 11.8 percent (2-for-17) from behind the 3-point line, including 1-for-10 in the second half.

Bryson Williams, Tech's leading scorer, didn't score until late in the game and finished with just five points.

Kevin McCullar led the Red Raiders with 12 points while Terrence Shannon Jr. added 11.

Texas Tech jumped out to a seven-point lead late in the first half with a 10-0 run, scoring six of the points off a trio of Oklahoma turnovers.

The Red Raiders scored 16 points off of nine first-half turnovers by the Sooners.

But Texas Tech scored just two points off nine Oklahoma turnovers in the second half.
