Penn State 72, New Hampshire 45: Jermaine Marshall scored 15 points and added a career-high five steals as the Nittany Lions dominated the visiting Wildcats to win their season-best third consecutive game.

Penn State (7-4) used a 12-0 run early in the first half to blow the game open. The Nittany Lions raced to a 39-14 halftime lead, shooting 55.2 percent in the opening half and holding New Hampshire (4-7) to just five field goals and 17.9 percent from the field.

Sasa Borovnjak tallied 11 while D.J. Newbill and Brandon Taylor each chipped in 10 for Penn State, which committed just seven turnovers.

The 45 points was a season low for the Wildcats, who did not have a player reach double digits. Ferg Myrick and Scott Morris paced New Hampshire with nine points apiece.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The 27-point margin of victory was the largest this season for Penn State and the 45 points allowed was a season-best. ... New Hampshire, which came into the game shooting just 62.3 from the free throw line, shot 80 percent, hitting 16-for-20. ... Newbill has now hit double figures in 10 of 11 games, while Marshall has hit double digits in seven straight.
