Virginia 67, Mississippi Valley State 39: Akil Mitchell collected 20 points, five rebounds and four steals to lead the way as the host Cavaliers stretched their win streak to seven games.

Justin Anderson added 15 points and nine rebounds off the bench and Darion Atkins chipped in 14 points and seven boards for Virginia (8-2).

Davon Usher had 14 points and six rebounds to lead the Delta Devils (0-5), making five of the team's 11 field goals as Mississippi Valley State shot 19 percent from the floor. Usher, a junior college transfer from Polk State, has scored in double digits in every game.

Virginia opened the game with a 12-2 run and extended it to 36-22 by halftime. The lead never dipped into single digits in the second half.
