Josh Owens and Chasson Randle scored 14 points apiece as Stanford rebounded from its loss in the NIT championship game with a 79-37 rout of visiting Pacific on Monday.

After losing 69-63 to No. 5 Syracuse in last week’s NIT title game, Stanford (6-1) led by 15 at halftime while continuing its decades-long domination of Pacific (2-3).

Travis Fulton scored 13 points for the Tigers, who dropped to 3-32 all-time against the Cardinal. Pacific shot only 16-of-53 (30.2 percent) from the field and was outscored 41-14 in the second half.

Pacific, picked to finish sixth in the Big West Conference preseason media poll, is still looking for its first win over a Division I opponent. The Tigers trailed Stanford by 29 with 9:33 remaining.

Stanford's Dwight Powell scored nine points and Anthony Brown added eight in his first start of the season. The Cardinal shot 29-of-56 (51.8 percent) from the field.
