Tristan Thompson scored 14 points and Jordan Hamilton added 12 points and 11 rebounds as No. 8 Texas rolled over Oklahoma State, 61-46, in Stillwater on Wednesday.
Dogus Balbay chipped in 10 points, five rebounds and four assists and held Cowboys guard Keiton Page scoreless on 0-of-7 shooting as the Longhorns (17-3, 5-0 Big 12) allowed Oklahoma State to shoot just 32 percent (18 of 56).
It was an emotional night at Gallagher-Iba Arena, as Oklahoma State remembered the players and staff who died in a plane crash 10 years ago.
Texas cut them no slack, shooting 61 percent (11 of 18) in the first half, including 4 of 5 from beyond the arc, to take a 34-27 lead into the break. The Cowboys managed to hang around thanks to 12 points and four rebounds from Marshall Moses.
The Longhorns locked down on defense after the break, holding Oklahoma State (14-6, 2-4) to 17 points to coast to the win.
In the midst of its toughest stretch of the conference season, Texas gets No. 13 Missouri at home this weekend before heading out to face No. 11 Texas A&M in College Station.
