A big second half lifted Mississippi to a 75-57 victory over Southern Methodist on Wednesday at Dallas.
Ole Miss (12-3) outscored SMU 43-27 in the second half for its fourth straight win.
The Rebels shot 70 percent from the field in the second half, and outscored SMU in the paint 18-2.
Chris Warren scored 17 points and Zach Graham added 12 for the Rebels, who open their Southeastern Conference slate at Florida on Saturday.
Robert Nyakundi scored 19 points and Papa Dia had 14 points and nine rebounds for the Mustangs (9-5), who had their five-game winning streak snapped.
The Mustangs open Conference USA play Saturday at Tulane.
