Duke continued to show why it is the No. 1 team in the country, and Mike Krzyzewski reached another milestone to cement his spot on the Mount Rushmore of college basketball coaches.
The Blue Devils never trailed, and rolled to an 83-48 victory over Bradley on Wednesday. It marked victory No. 877 for Krzyzewski, who passed the legendary Adolph Rupp for third place on the Division I list.
While the night belonged to Krzyzewski, Duke sophomore guard Andre Dawkins had a memorable night, too. Dawkins made eight 3-pointers, and finished with 28 points.
Kyle Singler scored 17 points, and Miles Plumlee had 14. Plumlee opened the game with a dunk, and the Blue Devils (9-0) never looked back.
Bradley (4-5) managed to stay within reach late in the first half, and trailed 24-17 with 3:29 left. Duke, though, ended the half on an 8-1 run to take a 32-18 lead.
Duke stayed on the gas to open the second half, and took a commanding 48-22 lead on a 3-pointer by Seth Curry with 15:19 left.
Freshman guard Walt Lemon, Jr. scored a team-high 14 points for Bradley.
