Georgetown's shooting and balanced scoring, with five players in double figures, were too much for Alabama A&M in an 89-49 rout for the Hoyas Saturday at Washington, D.C.

The Hoyas (10-1) beat the winless Bulldogs (0-13) behind a 56.7-percent shooting performance from the field, led by reserve players Antwan Walker (16 points on 6-of-7 shooting) and Jahvon Blair (13 points on 3-for-7 shooting from 3-point range).

Jessie Govan added 11 points and seven rebounds. Jamorko Pickett and Kaleb Johnson each had 10 points.

Alabama A&M, which shot 33.9 percent from the field, did not have a scorer in double figures until Mohamed Sherif made a layup with 3:10 left in the game. Sherif finished with 12 points. Evan Wiley had eight points and six rebounds.

Balanced scoring occurred on both sides through most of the game. The game's first double-figure scorer did not occur until 15:02 remained in the game, when Govan made a layup to give him his 11 points.

Georgetown, which never trailed, took control of the game with a 17-2 run that gave the Hoyas a 33-15 lead with 6:57 left in the first half. They led by as many as 25 points before taking a 44-21 lead into halftime.
