Knicks 100, Thunder 92: Carmelo Anthony had 31 points and 10 rebounds and Langston Galloway added 18 points as host New York sidestepped Oklahoma City for its fourth win in five games.

Lance Thomas scored a season-high 17 points for the Knicks. Tim Hardaway Jr. made four 3-pointers while scoring 14 points and Jason Smith contributed 11 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.

Russell Westbrook matched his season high of 40 points for the Thunder, who were without Kevin Durant due to a sprained big toe on his left foot. Reggie Jackson had 13 points and four steals and Serge Ibaka had 10 points and 10 rebounds for his fourth straight double-double.

Hardaway hit consecutive 3-pointers to give New York an 80-73 lead with 6:41 to play and Thomas added a jumper for a nine-point cushion before Westbrook scored seven straight points in a span of 42 seconds to cut Oklahoma City’s deficit to two. The Knicks answered with a 10-0 burst and took a 92-80 lead on Hardaway’s 3-pointer before the Thunder crept within 95-90 on Jackson’s 3-pointer with 62 seconds left but Thomas drained a jumper and New York finished it off.

Oklahoma City led by eight points midway through the second quarter before Anthony’s three-point play capped a 10-2 run and tied the game at 34. The Thunder led 45-43 at the break but it was New York holding a 68-67 lead after the third quarter thanks to a 3-pointer by Hardaway with 30 seconds left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Westbrook has scored 30 or more points on 10 occasions this season. … Knicks F Lou Amundson posted season highs of 10 rebounds and four blocked shots. … The Thunder held a 37-4 edge in fast-break points.
