Grizzlies 92, Raptors 86: Marc Gasol scored 11 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter and the Memphis defense completely shut down visiting Toronto.

Zach Randolph had 19 points and 13 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who have won five of six. Mike Conley had 12 points, including a big 3-pointer down the stretch, as Memphis won despite being pounded on the offensive glass, 21-9, and making just 1-of-7 3-pointers.

Lou Williams scored 21 points off the bench for the Raptors, who have lost eight of 11. Kyle Lowry scored 18 of his 20 points in the second half, but Toronto scored a season low in points and added season worsts in shooting percentage (31.8) and 3-point shooting (17.9).

Gasol scored the first two buckets of the fourth quarter and assisted on the next two, and Toronto went nearly five minutes without a field goal as Memphis turned a one-point deficit into a 69-62 lead. Lowry scored the next 11 points for the Raptors as they pulled within 77-73, but Gasol hit two free throws, Conley drained his dagger 3-pointer and Randolph scored to push the lead back to 84-73 with 1:47 left.

Gasol scored 13 points in the second quarter and helped hold Toronto to 33.3 percent shooting for the half, as the Grizzlies led 41-38. In a third quarter in which neither team could muster more than a four-point lead, Williams scored five points during a late 7-2 run that gave Toronto a 61-60 lead entering the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The teams combined to shot 12-of-37 in the first quarter that ended 16-16. … Raptors G Greivis Vasquez, who started his second straight game in place of cold-shooting Terrance Ross, was 1-of-8 for three points in 22 minutes… In his fifth game since joining the team from Boston, Memphis F Jeff Green made his first start and scored six points in 26 minutes.
