Mavericks 108, Kings 104 (OT): Monta Ellis scored six of his 28 points in overtime and distributed 10 assists as visiting Dallas rallied in regulation and then held on in overtime to end a two-game losing streak.

Rajon Rondo added 21 points, seven assists and four steals and Tyson Chandler finished with 16 points and 17 rebounds for the Mavericks. Dirk Nowitzki added 15 points and Chandler Parsons scored 13 for Dallas.

DeMarcus Cousins finished with 32 points, 16 rebounds and nine assists, but fouled out in the final minute of regulation for the Kings, who also lost second-leading scorer Rudy Gay to a left knee strain in the first quarter and starting guard Ben McLemore to an eye injury during overtime. Darren Collison added 18 points and seven rebounds and Carl Landry scored all 14 of his bench points in the first half for Sacramento, which shot 1-for-18 from 3-point range.

Ellis hit a 20-footer early in overtime, but that would be the only basket for either team until Rondo buried a 3-pointer to put the Mavericks on top 104-102 with 1:14 left. Kings forward Jason Thompson then missed the second of two free throws that would have tied the score with 51 seconds on the clock and Ellis made four free throws in the final 8.7 seconds to seal the win.

The Mavericks went down by 10 with 4:11 left in regulation but shot back and tied the score at 99 on two free throws by Chandler with 32 seconds left. Cousins then fouled out on the offensive end while battling Chandler for position down low and Ellis missed a pull-up jumper at the buzzer to send the game into overtime.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Both teams came in 3-0 in overtime this season. … The Kings shot 63.4 percent in first half even while going 0-for-7 from 3-point range, leaving them 26-for-34 on 2-point shots, as well as 11-for-11 from the free throw line in the half. … All five starters for Dallas had reached double figures in scoring before the midway point of the third quarter.
