Nets 88, 76ers 70: Mason Plumlee had a season-high 18 points and 10 rebounds as host Brooklyn stopped Philadelphia.

Joe Johnson and Alan Anderson scored 12 points apiece for the Nets, who snapped a three-game losing streak. Kevin Garnett added 12 rebounds, Deron Williams 10 assists and Brooklyn held Philadelphia to 25 second-half points - tying the franchise record for fewest points in a half.

Rookie Robert Covington scored 20 points and added a season-high six 3-pointers for the 76ers, who shot 31.9 percent from the floor and committed 23 turnovers. Michael Carter-Williams added 14 points and nine assists for Philadelphia.

New Jersey held Philadelphia scoreless for the first five minutes of the fourth quarter and got two points each from five different players to take a 73-60 lead. The Sixers got within eight after a 3-pointer by Covington and a jumper by Henry Sims, but Plumlee converted an alley-oop from Anderson and Johnson nailed a pull-up jumper and a 3-pointer to push the lead to 80-65 and close out the 76ers.

The Sixers, who entered last in the league in 3-point shooting, drained 8-of-14 in the opening 24 minutes as they took a 45-44 lead. Covington knocked down 4-of-5 from the arc and Luc Mbah a Moute and Carter-Williams hit two attempts each from the arc.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Carter-Williams had 11 points, six assists and just one turnover in the first half. …The Sixers tied their season low in points. … Philadelphia shot 3-of-14 from the arc in the second half.
