Warriors 108, Mavericks 85: Jordan Crawford scored 19 points off the bench to lead a balanced attack as Golden State cruised past visiting Dallas.

Andrew Bogut recorded 15 points and 10 rebounds and Klay Thompson scored 14 points for the Warriors, who have won five straight. Harrison Barnes added 13 points in a reserve role as Golden State pulled within 1 1/2 games of fifth-place Portland in the Western Conference.

Monta Ellis scored 15 points to lead the Mavericks, who shot 36.6 percent from the field. Jose Calderon added 13 points and Dirk Nowitzki scored 12 for Dallas, which dropped back into a virtual tie with the Memphis Grizzlies for the seventh and eighth spots in the West, one game ahead of No. 9 Phoenix.

Barnes, Steve Blake and Draymond Green each hit a 3-pointer before Crawford beat the buzzer at the end of the first quarter to cap a 12-2 burst and give the Warriors a 29-22 lead. Crawford scored Golden State’s first seven points of the second quarter and the lead reached 18 points before the Warriors settled for a 55-44 gap at the break.

Stephen Curry and Thompson got going in the third quarter and combined for 14 points in a 16-6 run to begin frame. Golden State went into the fourth with a 79-56 advantage and never let the Mavericks get closer than 13 points down in coasting to the win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Nowitzki pulled into a tie with Boston Celtics legend John Havlicek (26,395) for 12th place on the all-time NBA scoring list. … Curry (strained right quad) started and played 22 minutes, finishing with 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting. … Blake and Crawford each hit three of Golden State’s 12 3-pointers.
