The Celtics wiped out most of an 11-point deficit in the third quarter and pulled even at 74 on Chris Johnson's 3-pointer 31 seconds into the fourth. Boston was up by as many as eight points early in the final period before the 76ers surged back and tied it on a Carter-Williams free throw with a minute left, then got the game-winner from Turner despite going just 2-of-6 from the foul line over the last 1:39.

The 76ers shot just 32 percent in the first quarter but were only down by three, and Hawes hit back-to-back 3-pointers to set off a 30-point second quarter as Philadelphia took a 53-47 lead into the break. Another Hawes 3-pointer pushed the lead to 61-50 early in the third quarter before the Celtics began their rally.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Boston PG Rajon Rondo sat out the second game of the back-to-back set, as he has regularly done since returning from a torn ACL. … Philadelphia was just 14-of-25 from the free-throw line. … The Celtics were swept for the ninth time in 13 back-to-back sets this season.
