Clippers 126, Raptors 118: Jamal Crawford erupted for a season-best 37 points and recorded 11 assists off the bench as visiting Los Angeles overcame a career night from Terrence Ross to fend off Toronto.

Crawford hit five of the Clippers' 12 3-pointers as they prevailed for the second consecutive night. Blake Griffin added 30 points while J.J. Redick had 18.

Ross erupted for a franchise record-tying 51 points, but it wasn't enough as the Raptors fell to 16-9 since trading Rudy Gay to Sacramento. Jonas Valanciunas added 17 points and 12 rebounds while Kyle Lowry had 11 points and 12 assists for Toronto, which lost leading scorer DeMar DeRozan in the third quarter to a foot sprain.

Just as they did a night earlier against Philadelphia, the Raptors seized a double-digit edge in the opening quarter - thanks in large part to Ross' franchise record-tying five 3-pointers in the frame - then fended off a Crawford 3-point barrage to lead 37-36. Crawford continued to light it up in the second, scoring seven quick points to put Los Angeles ahead and converting a four-point play with 2:47 remaining as the Clippers went into the break ahead 71-65.

Back-to-back 3-pointers from Matt Barnes surged Los Angeles ahead by double digits in the opening moments of the third quarter, but the Raptors responded with a 13-0 run following DeRozan's departure and got a buzzer-beating 3-pointer from Ross - his eighth of the night - to go into the fourth tied at 93. Ross poured in seven straight Toronto points to keep the Raptors close, but Redick countered with a 3-pointer as part of a 15-3 run to put the game away.

GAME NOTEBOOK: DeRozan originally suffered the sprain after being fouled by Clippers F Hedo Turkoglu in the second quarter, but remained in the game. ... Ross, who equaled Vince Carter's team record originally set in 2000, finished with 10 3-pointers while surpassing his previous career-best point total by 25. ... The Clippers improved to 9-3 since losing PG Chris Paul to a separated shoulder.
