Trail Blazers 134, Bobcats 104: Wesley Matthews scored 25 points and Damian Lillard added 24 as host Portland used a 3-point barrage to rout struggling Charlotte.

Lillard was 6-of-6 from 3-point range and Matthews was 5-of-6 as the Trail Blazers tied a franchise record with 21 3-pointers to become the first team in NBA history to make 20 or more twice in the same season. Mo Williams had 15 points and 10 assists off the bench and LaMarcus Aldridge contributed 10 points and 15 rebounds.

Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 20 points and Al Jefferson added 19 for the Bobcats, who lost for the sixth time in seven games and are 0-4 on a five-game road trip. Gerald Henderson tallied 16 points and Ramon Sessions added 14.

Portland was bombing from the outset and had four 3-pointers during a 14-0 run to take a 23-9 lead midway through the opening quarter. The Trail Blazers finished with seven during a 39-point first stanza and had 12 at the half when they led 70-49.

Lillard’s 3-pointer boosted Portland’s lead to 89-64 with 5:15 left in the third quarter and the lead was 23 entering the final stanza. His 6-of-6 outing is topped only by Terry Porter’s 7-of-7 effort during the 1992-93 season, and the Trail Blazers finished at 58.1 percent from the field, including 63.6 percent from 3-point range.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Portland also had 21 3-pointers during a 139-105 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Dec. 14. … Bobcats G Kemba Walker had just six points on 2-of-10 shooting to halt a streak of 22 straight double-digit outings. … Aldridge had his 19th double-double of the campaign as the Trail Blazers recorded a dominating 52-30 rebounding edge.
