Rockets 113, Hawks 84: Francisco Garcia and Aaron Brooks had 21 points apiece as Houston used a solid bench effort to trounce visiting Atlanta.

Brooks and Garcia combined to shoot 16-of-26 for the Rockets, whose reserves outscored their Hawks counterparts 67-32. Terrence Jones scored all 14 of his points in the first half, while Chandler Parsons added 14 of his own.

Paul Millsap had 16 points to lead Atlanta, which committed 18 turnovers leading to 24 Houston points. Cartier Martin and Al Horford added 14 points each.

Houston broke out early thanks to Jones, whose wide-open 3-pointer from the top of the arc spurred a first-half-closing 13-5 run that lifted the Rockets to a 56-45 advantage at the break. Millsap's driving layup trimmed the deficit to five near the midway point of the third, but layups from Parsons and Brooks keyed a 9-2 run that gave Houston a 77-67 advantage going into the fourth.

The Rockets' hot shooting took over from there, as they buried their first seven shot attempts of the quarter - including a pair of 3-pointers from Brooks - to extend the lead to 17. Brooks converted three foul shots a short time later to make it a 20-point game, and the Hawks emptied their bench from there.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Hawks SF Kyle Korver (bruised ribs) didn't make the trip to Houston, leaving him one game short of equaling the NBA record for consecutive games with at least one 3-pointer (88). He can tie Dana Barros' league mark Friday against visiting Dallas. ... Rockets PG Jeremy Lin exited in the first quarter with a left knee contusion and did not return. ... Houston SG James Harden missed his third straight game with a foot injury.
