Clippers 121, Bulls 82:
Chris Paul collected 16 points and 17 assists as host Los Angeles crushed a Chicago squad playing without an injured Derrick Rose.

Jared Dudley had 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting and J.J. Redick was nearly as sharp with 19 on 8-of-11 for the Clippers (10-5), who improved to 7-1 at home. Blake Griffin added 15 points and 12 rebounds for his eighth straight double-double.

Luol Deng had 22 points to lead the Bulls (6-6), who were playing their first game since former MVP Rose went down on Friday with a torn medial meniscus in his right knee. Rose is expected to undergo surgery on Monday and is out indefinitely for Chicago, which has dropped three straight.

The Bulls came into the afternoon second in the NBA in field-goal percentage defense, limiting opponents to 40.4 percent shooting, but allowed Dudley to go 5-of-6 from the field in the first half as the Clippers went off at 62.5 percent to take a 65-52 lead into the break. Paul handed out 11 assists in the first half and has 14 double-doubles in 15 games.

It did not get much better for Chicago after the break as Los Angeles began the third quarter with a 7-0 burst to stretch the lead to 20 points. The Clippers took a 96-73 lead into the fourth and turned to their bench for a 15-2 run beginning the final period that put the game away.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The 39 points marked the largest margin of victory in franchise history for the Clippers. … The Bulls have dropped the first three of a six-game road trip and are 1-6 on the road. … Carlos Boozer and Mike Dunleavy added 14 points apiece as the only two other players in double figures for Chicago.
