Raptors 96, Wizards 88: DeMar DeRozan led a balanced attack with 17 points as host Toronto won its second straight game.

DeRozan led six players in double figures for the Raptors, who remained atop the Atlantic Division standings despite only improving to 6-7. Rudy Gay added 17 points while Amir Johnson had 14 and Kyle Lowry scored 12 to go with nine assists and six rebounds.

John Wall scored 18 of his season-high 37 points in the third quarter to pace the Wizards, who were outscored by Toronto 50-32 in the paint but scored 19 fast-break points to stay in the game. Bradley Beal added 17 points in defeat.

DeRozan's 15 points and four assists guided Toronto to a 51-38 halftime lead, but Wall and the Wizards roared all the way back in the third. Wall put together back-to-back layups, a short jumper and a 21-footer in just over two minutes to trim the deficit to three, and another driving layup gave the Wizards the lead with 4:39 remaining in the quarter en route to a 70-66 advantage entering the fourth.

Toronto roared back to open the quarter, scoring the first nine points as the Wizards missed their first three shots while turning the ball over twice. A Steve Novak 3-pointer put the Raptors up seven with 7:13 remaining, Terrence Ross followed with a 3-pointer as the shot clock expired and Toronto overcame eight straight points from Wall to hang on.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Beal, who came into the night averaging better than 26 points over his previous three games, shot 7-for-21 while making just two of his nine attempts from long range. ... Gay shot 6-for-16 and has yet to break 50 percent in a game this season. ... Toronto C Jonas Valanciunas added 11 points and 13 rebounds in the win.
