Dwyane Wade poured in a season-high 29 points to go with seven assists and LeBron James chipped in 18 points despite a sore back as host Miami held off Los Angeles for its third straight win.

Chris Bosh and Ray Allen added 12 points apiece for the Heat, who have won five straight home games in the series. Miami shot 53.5 percent from the floor.

Blake Griffin collected his fourth double-double in six games with 27 points and 14 rebounds for the Clippers, who have dropped two straight on the road following a three-game winning streak. J.J. Redick scored 15 and Jamal Crawford added 14 off the bench, but Chris Paul was limited to a season-low 11 points to go along with 12 assists.

Los Angeles raced out to a 10-2 lead and did not trail until the 8:57 mark of the second quarter, keeping ahead of Miami for all but a total of 62 seconds in the first half. The Clippers led 31-28 after one quarter and 56-52 at halftime before cooling off after the break.

The Clippers scored only 17 points in the third as Miami pulled out to a 76-73 lead entering the final stanza, and pushed the margin to 11 early in the fourth. Griffin scored three straight buckets to pull Los Angeles within 99-93 with 1:42 left and made it 101-97 with an uncontested dunk, but it didn't get any closer.

GAME NOTEBOOK: James has scored in double figures in 501 consecutive games, including every contest he has played for the Heat. … Miami has scored at least 100 points in its first six games, a franchise record to start the season. … Clippers SF Matt Barnes missed a second consecutive game with a bruised right thigh.
