Nets 95, Celtics 83: Joe Johnson led the way with 18 points as visiting Brooklyn jumped ahead early and held off Boston in the fourth quarter.

Jerry Stackhouse went 5-of-6 from 3-point range en route to 17 points off the bench and Andray Blatche collected 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Nets, who have won four straight.

Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo was ejected near the end of the first half for hitting Brooklyn forward Kris Humphries in the chest after Humphries had given Kevin Garnett a hard foul. Rondo ended up with six points and three assists, snapping his streak of 37 straight games with double-digit assists.

The dust-up between Rondo and Humphries occurred after the Nets had started to take control of the game. Stackhouse and Johnson each hit two 3-pointers during a 19-6 run to close the first quarter and give New Jersey a 28-20 lead.

It would stretch to as much as 47-26 in the second quarter and stayed at double digits until early in the fourth, when Jason Terry’s three-point play chopped the deficit to 72-63. But Stackhouse’s 3-pointer with 2:44 left pushed it back to 87-73 and Blatche made two straight layups to hold off Boston.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Garnett recorded 16 points and 10 rebounds and Brandon Bass added 16 points to lead the Celtics. … Rondo’s streak was tied with Utah’s John Stockton for the second-longest in NBA history.
