SPURS 122, MAGIC 111:
Tony Parker led the way with 31 points and 12 assists as San Antonio clinched a winning homestand and spoiled what might have been Dwight Howard’s last game with the Orlando Magic.

Howard, who reportedly wants to finish the season in Orlando but refused to guarantee that he would stay beyond this summer, is expected to be dealt before Thursday’s trade deadline. The All-Star center put up 22 points and 12 rebounds on Wednesday.

Tim Duncan turned back the clock with 21 points and 13 rebounds and Manu Ginobili chipped in 14 points off the bench for the Spurs.

Both teams shot better than 50 percent from the field but San Antonio made the difference at the free throw line, where it connected on 23 of 27 attempts. Orlando went 10 for 16 from the stripe.

The Spurs began to gain some separation in the middle of the fourth quarter, when Parker scored seven straight points during a 9-2 run to make it 108-100. Hedo Turkoglu responded with a three-point play for Orlando but Duncan came back with a layup and Ginobili connected from beyond the arc to make it a 113-103 gap with 2:58 left.

Parker scored seven points in the final 1:49 to clinch the win.
