Rockets 109, Bobcats 95: James Harden recorded his first career triple-double with 21 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists and Chandler Parsons and Omer Asik notched double-doubles as host Houston held on for its fifth win in seven games.

Parsons racked up 24 points and 10 rebounds and Asik added 19 points and 15 boards for the Rockets, who have won 13 of 18 all-time meetings with Charlotte, including eight of nine at home. Patrick Patterson chipped in 24 points for Houston, including 14 in the fourth quarter.

Kemba Walker scored 24 points and Ramon Sessions added 20 off the bench for the Bobcats, who have lost three straight and six of seven. Gerald Henderson and Jeffery Taylor added 15 points apiece.

The Rockets led by as many as 15 and held a 62-51 advantage at halftime, but the Bobcats outscored Houston 26-17 in the third quarter and closed the period on an 8-0 run to get within 79-77.

The lead changed hands four times in the first 5:14 of the fourth quarter. Charlotte opened its largest lead of the night when Ben Gordon hit back-to-back 3-pointers to make it 86-81, but the Rockets reeled off a 9-0 run to regain control and finished the game on a 26-7 spurt.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Charlotte rookie SF Michael Kidd-Gilchrist suffered a concussion in a harrowing fall early in the fourth quarter. He was carted off the court on a stretcher with 10:37 left in the fourth quarter and taken to Houston's Memorial Hermann Hospital for X-rays and a CT scan, which all came back negative for head and neck injuries. Kidd-Gilchrist was hurt when he went up to defend a shot by Parsons and his head clipped the hip of Taylor, who was going up for the rebound. ... The Rockets have won eight straight home games against the Bobcats. … Walker has scored in double figures in 17 consecutive games, the longest streak of his career and the longest by a Bobcats player since Stephen Jackson's 27-game run in 2010-11.
