SPURS 105, CLIPPERS 88: Tony Parker scored 14 of his 22 points in the second half and host San Antonio pulled away to take a 2-0 lead in its Western Conference semifinal series with Los Angeles.

Tim Duncan added 18 points and Boris Diaw scored 16 as the Spurs extended their winning streak to 16 games.

San Antonio led by only four points at halftime but broke it open behind Parker, who celebrated his 30th birthday with five assists, five rebounds and three steals.

Blake Griffin scored 20 points to lead the Clippers, who will look to regroup when the series shifts to Los Angeles for Game 3 on Saturday afternoon.

Clippers point guard Chris Paul, battling a strained hip flexor, scored only 10 points and committed eight turnovers.

San Antonio blew most of an early 15-point lead but shot a scorching 62.2 percent in the second half to reach 100 points for the 15th time during its winning streak.

With the Spurs ahead 52-47, Danny Green hit consecutive 3-pointers to ignite a 10-0 run and build the lead to 15 points with just under 7 1/2 minutes left in the third quarter.

Paul came alive and hit a pair of 3-pointers to help cut a 16-point deficit to seven before the Spurs stretched it to 78-67 entering the fourth quarter.

Ginobili buried back-to-back 3-pointers to cap an early 14-0 spurt for the Spurs, who led by as many as 15 points before the Clippers closed the first quarter with a 10-2 run to get within 29-21.

The momentum carried over into the second quarter for Los Angeles, which cut the deficit to one point and went to the half trailing 46-42.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Clippers were 9 of 13 from 3-point range. ... Los Angeles shot 55.5 percent (10 of 18) in the third quarter but saw San Antonio extend a four-point halftime edge to 11 by shooting a blistering 76.5 percent (13 of 17) in the third. ... Paul had more fouls (three) than points (two) at halftime. ... Spurs coach Gregg Popovich went with a bigger lineup to open the second half, starting Tiago Splitter at center in place of Diaw. Splitter finished with nine points. ... The Spurs haven't lost since falling at home to the Los Angeles Lakers on April 11.
