HAWKS 139, JAZZ 133 (4OT): Joe Johnson had a game-high 37 points and Zaza Pachulia scored 15 points and hauled in 20 rebounds as host Atlanta prevailed in the NBA's first quadruple-overtime game in more than 14 years.

The Hawks, who were playing the finale of a back-to-back-to-back, caught a second wind in the fourth extra frame to lead Atlanta to its fourth straight victory.

Johnson nailed a jumper with 16.9 seconds remaining in the fourth overtime to put the Hawks up 135-131. Johnson and Jeff Teague then drained clutch free throws down the stretch to snap Utah’s six-game winning streak.

Utah battled back from a 15-point deficit at the half to force overtime and had numerous buzzer beater opportunities in the extra sessions to claim the victory. Al Jefferson led all scorers for the Jazz with 28 points.

The last four-overtime game in the NBA was on November 14, 1997.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Atlanta reserve point guard Jannero Pargo (appendectomy) didn’t play. …Jazz guard Raja Bell (left abductor) sat out. ... Atlanta forward Josh Smith tied Dominique Wilkins for fifth in franchise history with his 173rd double-double as a Hawk.
