Kevin Durant scored 36 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder held off the visiting Memphis Grizzlies 101-94 on Friday night.

James Harden came off the bench to tie a season high with 24 points and spark a fourth-quarter comeback as the Thunder beat the Grizzlies for the third time this season to improve to an NBA-best 18-4.

Durant scored 16 points in the final quarter, including 10 in the final 2 1/2 minutes, as Oklahoma City won for the sixth time in seven games and moved to 9-1 at home.

Marc Gasol scored a season-high 24 points and Rudy Gay added 23 for Memphis, which had its modest two-game winning streak snapped.

The Grizzles, behind 12 third-quarter points from Gasol, carried a 77-69 lead into the final 12 minutes.

Harden ignited the Thunder by scoring 10 points in the first four minutes of the fourth quarter to deadlock the score at 81-81.

Memphis forged its final tie at 94-94 on a 3-pointer by Mike Conley, but Durant answered with a 3-pointer of his own with 53 seconds left and drilled an 18-foot jumper with 22 ticks remaining to seal it.
