Elias Diaz homered among his three hits, Ezequiel Tovar went deep and finished with two hits and the Colorado Rockies beat the Chicago White Sox 14-1 in Denver on Friday night.

Ryan McMahon hit a three-run homer and scored three runs while Brendan Rodgers had two hits, two runs and two RBIs for Colorado.

Elvis Andrus homered and collected three of the White Sox's four hits.

Andrus gave Chicago the lead when he went deep on the first pitch of the game, his fourth home run of the season, but Colorado responded with five runs in the bottom of the first to begin the blowout.

Colorado starter Peter Lambert settled in after the rough beginning. The right-hander gave up singles to Andrus in the third and sixth innings, but the runner was erased on a double play both times, and Andrew Vaughn singled in the fourth.

Lambert (3-4) allowed one run on four hits and one walk while striking out five in a season-high seven innings.

The Rockies' offense gave Lambert plenty of support. Charlie Blackmon led off the bottom of the first against White Sox starter Michael Kopech with a walk, and Tovar followed with his 14th home run.

McMahon walked, moved to third on a double by Rodgers and scored on a groundout by Nolan Jones. Diaz then lined a ball into the seats in left to cap the five-run inning, his 12th of the season.

The Rockies padded their lead in the fourth. Jurickson Profar led off with a double and scored on Blackmon's two-out single. Tovar walked, and McMahon homered to left-center field to finish off another big inning.

It was McMahon's 21st home run of the season.

Kopech (5-11) gave up nine runs on six hits and four walks while striking out one in four innings.

Colorado added three runs in the sixth inning off reliever Brent Honeywell. Tovar singled with one out and advanced to second on McMahon's walk. Rodgers tripled to right to drive in both runners, and he scored on a single by Jones to make it 12-1.

Tovar added an RBI groundout in the seventh, and Elehuris Montero had a pinch-hit, RBI double in the eighth.

The Rockies had lost seven of their previous eight games, while the White Sox took their fifth loss in six games.
