Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a grand slam and scored twice to lead the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 6-2 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Friday night at Anaheim, Calif.

Evan Longoria had an RBI single for the Diamondbacks, who had lost four of their previous six games.

Major league home run leader Shohei Ohtani hit his 30th of the season for the Angels, a 493-foot blast to right. Mike Trout had two of Los Angeles' four hits as the club lost its third straight game and seventh in its past 10.

Diamondbacks All-Star starting outfielder Corbin Carroll (shoulder) missed the contest, one day after being injured.

Gurriel had two of the Diamondbacks' five hits.

Arizona's Tommy Henry (5-1) gave up one run and four hits over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out eight and walked two while winning his fourth consecutive decision.

Henry sailed through the first five innings before Ohtani came to the plate to start the sixth. On the second pitch, Ohtani crushed a slider from Henry and sent it into orbit to post his third consecutive 30-homer season.

Four Arizona relievers held the Angels hitless over the final 3 1/3 innings. Austin Adams recorded the final out of the sixth while Miguel Castro, Andrew Chafin and Kevin Ginkel each worked an inning of relief.

Griffin Canning (6-3) matched a season high with nine strikeouts in six innings for the Angels. He was tagged for five runs and three hits and issued four walks. Canning had won his previous four decisions.

Arizona pushed across a first-inning run on Longoria's two-out single that scored Gurriel from second.

Canning retired the first two batters in the second before walking Jake McCarthy, Geraldo Perdomo and Ketel Marte to load the bases. Gurriel followed with his third career grand slam, a 388-foot shot to left that was his 13th blast of the season.

Carson Kelly's bases-loaded sacrifice fly in the eighth increased Arizona's lead to 6-1.

The Angels got a run back in the bottom of the eighth when Anthony Rendon grounded into a double play with Ohtani scoring from third.
