Joe Musgrove pitched seven strong innings Saturday for the Pittsburgh Pirates in a 3-1 win over the visiting Chicago Cubs.

Adam Frazier was 2-for-4 with an RBI double, and Corey Dickerson was 3-for-3 with a walk and a double for Pittsburgh, which ended a five-game losing streak.

Ben Zobrist homered for Chicago, which had its three-game winning streak halted.

It was the third night in as many games this series that Chicago's run production was limited to a solo homer. The Cubs won 1-0 games Thursday and Friday.

Musgrove (5-7) struck out seven over seven five-hit innings, allowing one run and walking none.

He finally got some run support. The Pirates had scored just one run while he was pitching in his previous three decisions. He has given up eight earned runs in 34 innings over five starts since the All-Star break.

Kyle Crick pitched the eighth, and Felipe Vazquez struck out two in the ninth for his 27th save and 17th in his past 17 chances.

Chicago right-hander Tyler Chatwood (4-6), whose demotion to the bullpen was lifted because scheduled starter Mike Montgomery went on the disabled list Friday, lasted just two-plus innings and was charged with three runs and two hits. He struck out none and walked three.

His truncated outing forced the Cubs to dip into the bullpen early. Four relievers combined for six scoreless innings, allowing a combined six hits.

In the second, Josh Bell and Francisco Cervelli walked to open the inning. Frazier drove in Bell with a double to center. Cervelli scored on Colin Moran's groundout, and Frazier came home on Adeiny Hechavarria's sacrifice fly for a 3-0 Pirates lead.

Zobrist hit a two-out homer, his ninth, to right in the third to pull the Cubs to within 3-1.

Chatwood entered the game leading the major leagues with 90 walks, and when he put Dickerson on to open the third -- the second straight inning he walked the leadoff batter -- manager Joe Maddon yanked him.
