Phillies 7, Braves 3: Domonic Brown had a home run and an RBI triple and rookie Jonathan Pettibone pitched effectively into the sixth inning as host Philadelphia claimed the rubber match of the three-game series.

Pettibone (5-3) struck out six and held Atlanta to one run on five hits - a day after the Braves racked up season highs for hits (19) and runs (13) - to even the season series. Pettibone has won two straight starts after a streak of eight turns without a victory.

Braves starter Kris Medlen (6-8) had his streak of three straight wins snapped, allowing seven runs - six earned - on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings. The Phillies jumped on Medlen early, scoring two in the first on Brown's run-scoring triple and Delmon Young's RBI single and tacking on two more on Ben Revere's two-run triple in the fourth.

After Medlen's RBI single in the fifth, Brown added a solo shot - his team-leading 23rd - in the bottom of the inning to make it 5-1. Two more runs came home in the sixth when Jimmy Rollins scored on a wild pitch and Darin Ruf raced home after catcher Brian McCann's wild throw to the plate caromed up the third-base line.

Chris Johnson hit a solo home run for the Braves and McCann went 3-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to eight games.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rollins went 0-for-4 to snap his hitting streak at nine games. … McCann is 19-for-32 during his hitting streak. … Pettibone has allowed three or fewer runs in 12 of his 15 starts.
