Reds 3, Rockies 0: Bronson Arroyo pitched 6 2/3 solid innings as visiting Cincinnati increased its season-high winning streak to eight games and improved to 12-2 since the All-Star break.

Ryan Ludwick went 2-for-2 with an RBI double as the Reds won for only the sixth time in their last 26 games at Coors Field.

Colorado rookie Drew Pomeranz (1-6) lost his third straight start. He allowed three runs, seven hits and struck out five in 5 1/3 innings as the Rockies fell to 3-9 in their last 12 games.

Arroyo (6-6) retired the first 11 batters before Carlos Gonzalez singled. The Rockies threatened in the fifth inning when Jordan Pacheco’s double put runners on second and third with one out, but Arroyo struck out Josh Rutledge and got Pomeranz to ground out.

Arroyo allowed six hits and struck out three.

The Reds took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning on Ludwick’s one-out double and, after Scott Rolen’s infield single, Todd Frazier’s sacrifice fly plated Ludwick.

Cincinnati went ahead 3-0 in the sixth inning when reliever Adam Ottavino uncorked consecutive wild pitches to allow Ludwick to score.

Reds closer Aroldis Chapman worked around a two-out single to Pacheco and struck out the side in the ninth inning to earn his 20th save in 25 chances. He fastest pitch was 101 mph.
