Cubs 12, Brewers 11: Alfonso Soriano drove in the winning run with a single in the ninth inning as Chicago rallied for three runs against Francisco Rodriguez to win a wild game at Wrigley Field.

Jonathan Lucroy hit a grand slam and tied a club record with seven RBIs. Ryan Braun and Cody Ransom also homered for Milwaukee, which was in position for a four-game sweep before the ninth-inning meltdown.

Anthony Rizzo's second RBI double of the contest tied it at 11-11 and Soriano followed with the game-winner, sending the Brewers to their 30th bullpen loss.

Ransom collected three hits and two RBIs and Rickie Weeks added a career-high five hits and scored four runs for the Brewers.

After falling behind 9-3, Chicago rallied for six runs in the sixth by teeing off against relievers Livan Hernandez and Manny Parra. Ransom hit his 10th homer leading off the seventh against Blake Parker.

The Cubs built a 3-0 lead, scoring on Starlin Castro's RBI triple and Rizzo's run-scoring double in the first and David DeJesus' RBI single in the second.

The lead didn't last long, though, as Lucroy yanked a 1-1 breaking ball from Cubs starter Brooks Raley onto Waveland Ave. Braun made it 7-3 with his 36th homer of the year, a blast off the batter's eye in center. Lucroy added a two-run single in the sixth to make it 9-3 and tacked on an RBI single in the eighth.

Raley allowed both homers, giving up seven runs on 10 hits in four innings. He has not pitched more than six frames in any of his first five big-league starts.

DeJesus had three hits, two RBIs and three runs scored and Brett Jackson had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored for the Cubs.

Brewers starter Shaun Marcum left the game after four innings with cramping in his right calf. He allowed three runs on five hits and walked four.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Brewers have won 13 of the 17 meetings with the Cubs this season. … The Brewers have never swept a four-game series against the Cubs. … Lucroy has driven in seven runs twice this season and is the first player in Brewers' history with two seven-RBI games. ... The Cubs' six runs in the sixth innings matched their total in the first three games of the series. … Marcum reportedly was placed on waivers this week and was presumed to be a trade candidate, the cramping that caused him to leave the game did not appear to be an injury that would hamper his value. … The crowd of 28,859 was the smallest of the season at Wrigley Field. … Milwaukee returns home for a three-game series against Pittsburgh beginning Friday, while the Cubs host San Francisco for a three-game weekend series.
