Blue Jays 9, Orioles 2: Edwin Encarnacion belted a two-run homer to ignite a seven-run sixth inning and Kyle Drabek tossed 7 1/3 solid frames as host Toronto salvaged the finale of a three-game series.

Yunel Escobar had a two-run double among his three hits and Brett Lawrie launched a solo homer and drove in three runs. The offensive onslaught was more than enough for the Blue Jays, who prevented the Orioles from claiming their first sweep in Canada since April 22-24, 2005.

After Adam Jones extended his hitting streak to nine games with a solo homer in the top of the sixth to give Baltimore a 2-1 lead, Toronto erupted in its half of the inning.

Jose Bautista led off with a double to center field and Encarnacion deposited a two-strike breaking ball from Brian Matusz (0-2) into the seats in left field for his third homer of the season.

After Jeff Mathis greeted reliever Kevin Gregg with an RBI single, Escobar followed with a two-run double to right field and Kelly Johnson added an RBI double to left.

Drabek (2-0) allowed two runs on six hits and struck out six to pick up the win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Matusz, who was charged with five runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings, fell to 0-3 in his career versus the Blue Jays. ...
