Chris Stewart’s suicide-squeeze bunt in the 11th inning scored Emmanuel Burriss with the decisive run as the San Francisco Giants defeated the host San Diego Padres 4-3 on Sunday.

Burriss singled with one out against Chad Qualls (4-4) and then stole second on a pitchout and moved to third on a poor throw by Kyle Phillips. Burriss then easily scored on Stewart’s superb bunt down the third-base line.

Javier Lopez (5-1) pitched two scoreless innings and Brian Wilson worked out of a jam for his 28th save to hand San Diego its eighth loss in nine games.

San Francisco stole a season-high six bases while winning for the seventh time in nine games.

Orlando Hudson singled in two runs with the bases loaded in the sixth to give San Diego a 3-2 advantage.

The Giants tied the score in the seventh on a two-out single by Andres Torres.

San Diego’s other run was on a first-inning sacrifice fly by Ryan Ludwick. The Giants received a sacrifice fly by Cody Ross in the second and a run-scoring single by Nate Schierholtz in the sixth.

Giants starter Matt Cain gave up three runs (one earned) and three hits and struck out nine in six innings.

Padres starter Mat Latos gave up three runs and seven hits in seven innings.
