Ryan Braun had two hits and drove in a pair of runs to bolster his chances for the National League batting title as the Milwaukee Brewers recorded a 6-4 home triumph over the Florida Marlins on Saturday.

Corey Hart ripped a pinch-hit, two-run double in the seventh inning, and Yuniesky Betancourt belted a solo homer for NL Central champion Milwaukee.

The Brewers (93-65) are two games ahead of the NL West champion Arizona Diamondbacks (91-66), who defeated the San Francisco Giants on Saturday. Depending on the identity of the fourth team in the postseason, the second-place club could face the wild-card representative due to their respective division, while the third-place team would face the NL East champion Philadelphia Phillies.

Braun's 2-for-3 effort raised his average to .331, which pulled him ahead of Jose Reyes (.330). The New York Mets shortstop sat out the nightcap of Saturday's doubleheader against the Phillies.

LaTroy Hawkins (2-1) pitched one scoreless inning of relief to pick up the win, and John Axford worked the ninth for his 45th save. Reliever Burke Badenhop (2-3) took the loss for the Marlins.

Emilio Bonifacio extended his hitting streak to six games with a solo homer and Omar Infante also went deep for Florida, which fell to 0-6 against Milwaukee this season.
