Ryan Howard, Raul Ibanez and Chase Utley all homered, and Shane Victorino had three hits and three RBIs as the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 9-5, on Friday night.

Howard hit a two-run homer in the first off Randy Wolf (3-3), but Ibanez’s solo shot in the fourth broke a 3-3 tie and Philadelphia never trailed again. Victorino’s two-run triple later that inning gave the Phillies a 6-3 lead.

Utley hit a solo homer in the ninth off Mitch Stetter on a half-swing to cap the scoring.

The onslaught helped Jamie Moyer (5-2) win a third consecutive start – despite giving up three home runs in the second inning. Prince Fielder started the inning for Milwaukee with a homer. Jim Edmonds then hit a solo shot with one out and George Kottaras belted another with two outs.

Moyer didn’t give up another hit until the seventh when the Brewers loaded the bases with one out. An Utley throwing error helped Milwaukee score twice and cut the lead to 8-5.

Philadelphia had cushioned their advantage with two unearned runs in the sixth to make it 8-3 thanks to pitcher Manny Parra’s two fielding errors.

The Brewers now have lost four in a row and are 4-12 at home this season.
