Ted Lilly remained unbeaten since joining the Los Angeles Dodgers, throwing six scoreless innings to beat the Atlanta Braves 2-1 Saturday.

Lilly (6-8) allowed three hits and two walks, striking out four. He has won all three starts since the Dodgers acquired him from the Chicago Cubs at the non-waiver trade deadline, allowing four runs over 21 innings since joining Los Angeles.

Hong-Chih Kuo, who took over the closer's role when the Dodgers demoted Jonathan Broxton, pitched a perfect ninth for his fourth save, striking out two.

Braves starter Derek Lowe (11-10) gave up only one run over six innings despite allowing 10 hits and a walk. He struck out four and induced two double-play ground balls to avoid big innings.

The Dodgers took the lead in the fourth, when James Loney and Casey Blake opened the inning with singles. Loney scored when Matt Kemp grounded into a double play.

Los Angeles added a run in the seventh on Andre Ethier's sacrifice fly against Jonny Venters, the first run the rookie left-hander has allowed in nine appearances since July 30.

Scott Podsednik had three hits to lead the Dodgers' 12-hit attack.

David Ross drove in Atlanta's run with a groundout in the seventh. Omar Infante had two hits for the Braves, but he struck out to end the seventh with the tying run in scoring position.
