Freddy Sanchez had three hits and Jose Guillen hit a go-ahead two-run single in the seventh inning to help lift the San Francisco Giants to a 9-7 victory over the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Sanchez had a run-scoring single during San Francisco’s four-run third inning and doubled home a run in the eighth. Guillen’s single highlighted a three-run seventh that ended with the Giants possessing an 8-6 lead.

Brian Wilson got the final five outs for San Francisco to record his 36th save in 39 opportunities.

Arizona took a 6-5 lead in the seventh inning as Justin Upton and Adam LaRoche both hit two-run doubles during a four-run inning.

San Francisco led 5-1 after four innings. Andres Torres doubled in a run during the four-run third and added a run-scoring single in the fourth.

Stephen Drew went 4-for-5 with three RBIs for the Diamondbacks. Drew hit his 12th homer of the season in the third.

Jeremy Affeldt (3-3) got the win while Esmerling Vasquez (1-5) took the loss.

Giants starter Matt Cain gave up three runs and six hits in 6 1/3. Cain struck out six. Arizona starter Rodrigo Lopez gave up five runs and eight hits in four innings.
