The Texas Rangers are four games from clinching their first postseason berth since 1999.

After Jeff Francoeur scored on a passed ball in the 12th inning, the Rangers went on to a dramatic 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday night.

Texas snapped a three-game losing skid and will head to Oakland for a four-game series on Thursday with a chance to seal a postseason berth.

Francoeur led off the 12th inning with a double, moved to third on Bengie Molina's sacrifice bunt and eventually scored on a passed ball with Matt Palmer pitching and Jeff Mathis catching for the Angels.

The Rangers scored their first run in the third. With one out, Julio Borbon walked, went to third on a throwing error and scored on Michael Young’s sacrifice fly.

The Angels tied the game in the seventh on Mike Napoli's solo home run.

Rangers starter C.J. Wilson went six-plus innings, allowing one run and three hits with three walks and five strikeouts. Reliever Matt Harrison (3-1) earned the victory.

Angels starter Dan Haren went seven innings, allowing one run on three hits with three walks and two strikeouts. Palmer (1-2) took the loss.
