Peter Bourjos had four RBIs and teamed with Bobby Abreu for back-to-back homers as the Los Angeles Angels defeated the host Minnesota Twins 9-3 on Saturday.

Bourjos hit his first major-league homer, a two-run shot to left field, during a four-run second inning. Abreu followed with a blast to right-center field to start the Angels toward their second win in six meetings with Minnesota this season.

Bourjos also drove in runs with a fifth-inning triple and a ninth-inning ground ball that scored Jeff Mathis from third.

Minnesota tallied three times in the first inning on Michael Cuddyer’s two-run single and Delmon Young’s run-scoring hit.

Howie Kendrick and Erick Aybar had three of the Angels' 16 hits, which came against five Minnesota pitchers.

Kevin Slowey, who pitched seven no-hit innings for the Twins in his previous start, lasted just three innings due to triceps discomfort. Slowey (11-6) allowed four runs and seven hits.

Francisco Rodriguez (1-3) recorded the win for Los Angeles with 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief after replacing starter Trevor Bell, who lasted 4 1/3 innings.
